SUMMARY:Spring Ohigan - Sunday Family Service
DESCRIPTION:Ohigan is a service held twice a year\, at the spring and fall equinox. The equinox is when the weather is mild\, not too hot and not too cold\, and when nature is in harmony. Thus it is a time for reflection and meditation on this harmony in one’s own spiritual life. \nWelcome to our weekly Family Service. We are a community of Jodo Shinshu Buddhists which is a Pure Land tradition in the Mahayana School of Buddhism. What this means is that we are concerned not only with our own lives but for the lives of others. \nWe hold services in-person in our Hondo (chapel) and we also stream our services live (and services can be accessed later in either video or podcast formats).
